What is bail?
In order to find the right Orlando bail bonds company, it is important to first understand what bail is and how it might affect you and your loved ones. When someone is arrested on suspicion of a crime, that person will be placed in jail for holding until his or her trial is complete. In most cases, the defendant will be able to get out of jail pending the completion of the trial on bail.

Bail is a monetary amount that the courts require that the defendants pay in exchange for their release from jail pending the completion of the trial. The amount of bail is based on the crime that the defendant has been accused of committing. The amount of the bail varies based on the crime and the defendant’s criminal history.

Bail can be paid in two ways:

The defendant can pay the courts the total bail amount in full.  i.e If bail is set at $5000, you would have to pay the courts $5000 in cash or money order before your loved one will be released from jail. The courts will hold your money until all court obligations are met. The defendant will then receive a refund of funds less court costs, penalties, and fines.

Or…

When a defendant is unable to pay for bail in full on his or her own, the defendant may use the services of a bail bondsman. An Orlando bail bondsman is responsible for paying for the total cost of the bail for the defendant. It’s a simple process, Family members or loved ones come into our office, do some paperwork, sign and pay 10% of bail amount for our service. The 10% premium payment is non-refundable and can be paid by, cash, personal check or major credit cards. i.e If bail is set at $5000, you would pay a bondsman $500 and your loved one will be processed and released from jail on our bond. The defendant is then required to show up to each court hearing until the case is completely over.

Once the defendant completes his or her legal obligation to the courts, the bondsman, defendant and the family member who signed for the defendant will be relieved of all responsibility of the bond.
